Asolo Theater Sarasota Florida

This was the rededication last month of the Asolo Theatre at the Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota. The interior pieces are from a 1798 theater that once stood in Asolo, Italy. The theater was purchased by the museum years ago, and was a performance space for many year. My mom and dad took me there when I was a kid, and mom was an usher. It gradually fell into disrepair, but now has been handsomely restored, and will be used again for opera, recitals, theater, films and lectures. I have been supporting the renovation through the Huisking Foundation, and there is a plaque with the foundation's name in the theater lobby..
